What ever happened in Jesus' first thirty years?  Why do we have so little information about it if it is crucial to his formation? Is it crucial?  What was Jesus doing? What does it teach us?  Jesus makes something of the ordinary.

Christmas Day - At Just the Right Time

At Just the right time.  This year we have been on a 51 week epic journey through the Old Testament - Genesis to Jesus.  This message is the culmination, the climax of the joinery, and I think it delivers. One member, who I respect and has heard many, many sermons, commented after the service, trying not to choke up, 'I think that is the best sermon i have ever heard.'  God obviously met him. May he meet you at just the right time, or maybe even a little too late...

The Silent Years, between the Testaments

There is about 400 years between the Testament. It is called the Silent Years because no prophets seemed to have emerged during that time. It can give the impression that we don't know much about this time - but we know heaps - indeed, if you don't know about this time the Jew's of the NT can seem a bit strange to those of Ezra's time!  Here is a lesson in this important history, including the Machabees!

Daniel is a water-shed book in the Bible, and this is a watershed message! If you don't understand the context and message of Daniel, it is hard to see how Old Testament Judaism, became the religion that was waiting for a Messiah. This is a message you can't miss.
