Some final postscript thoughts on Esther given that our last sermon was a children's sermon. How do we reconcile a loving God with Esther 9 & 10?  Here are some thoughts.

Here is the final Esther message, done with lots of kids in worship! Kinda a summary of the first few weeks with extra.  I did some more 'adult' notes on Chapter 9-10 - murder, revenge and killing in the Scripture. If I get time I will record and put on-line as 'part 5.'  Cheers.

In Esther Chap 3&4 we see the rise of evil - Haman, someone with an irrational hatred for the Jews. If Esther's story is our story, where is the rise of Evil for the church today, and can we just dismiss them?  An important message.

We've begun a four week sermon on the book of Esther. Don't be deceived this is a powerful book which is incredibly relevant in our modern world. Esther is fascinating. It is one of two books named after females, and one of only 2 books in the Bible where God is not named. You will be blown away.

My apologies internet followers. I've been away on holidays for 3 weeks and it's taken me a fews weeks to catch up. Here is a Sermon preached by Eric Lawson on the lectionary readings while I was away. Eric is always great value. God goes before us.

I've included a sermon on tithing in this 'ten commandments' as often it as treated as a law will still must follow, but is it?

The last commandment is different to all the others. Does it really fit? Is it an also-ran-after-thought? Coveting is something our commercial world is built on. I do want what they are having!  Is that OK?

Do not bear False witness - that means do not lie doesn't it?  I think it's a bit more than that.

Why do men always need ice in their drinks? Today we answer that age old question, from 1 Thess 2:10-11.

It's a touchy subject. Many people left hurt by this one, or raw.  'The best sermon I've heard on the topic' - 'the best yet!'  If that is true, it is because it reflects the genius of Jesus on this topic.
